Houseboat Eisvogel: Wake up with a panoramic view of the pond
The Eisvogel offers an impressive panoramic view of the Edelteich from the bed. In the mornings you can watch the colourful activity of the water creatures while still lying down, while the galley at the aft allows early risers undisturbed coffee moments.
Our second houseboat (built in 2023) is located about 50 metres from the Schwanennest at the Edelteich, which is centrally located in the pond chain of the Rothermann fish farm. Ideal for couples consisting of a night-owl and an early-bird.

Houseboat Eisvogel in Detail
The Galley
Our second houseboat is also entered from the aft. In contrast to the Schwanennest, here you first enter the galley – the heart of the houseboat, where cooking, arriving and sitting together all naturally belong together. You can expect the following equipment:
- Kitchen sink with washing-up liquid, dish towels and sponge
- Induction cooker with 2 plates
- Fridge with freezer compartment
- Coffee maker and kettle
- Crockery, cutlery, glasses, cups and everything else you need for cooking
The dining area consists of a cosy bar that doubles as a work surface and dining table. From the bar, you can enjoy the view of the reeds and pond. This boat is particularly well suited for couples consisting of a night-owl and an early-bird, as the early-bird can have their first coffee early or take a walk around the ponds, while the night-owl can stay in bed undisturbed for longer.
Bathroom
Opposite the galley is the bathroom with a shower, a washbasin and a WC. There you will find towels, soaps, shower gel and shampoo, a hairdryer, various toiletries and two drawers to serve as storage space.
Sleeping and Reading Room
After the galley, you enter the sleeping and reading room, which offers a magnificent panoramic view of our pond. Here you can open your eyes in the morning and watch the colourful hustle and bustle of the water creatures while still lying down. Internal blinds and curtains protect you from prying eyes! Here too, you lie in a 1.40 metre wide bed and have the advantage of being able to climb in from one side and from the foot end. At the end of the bed there is a small shelf with baskets in which you can store a lot. Additional clothing can be stored in the wardrobe in the galley. All bed linen is of course included. You can sleep here either with the patio door wide open (including fly screen) or with the porthole windows tilted. A cosy wing chair invites you to read.

On Deck
At the bow of our houseboat there is a small terrace, equipped with two chairs and a table. So that the sun doesn't get too hot, you will of course also find a parasol here. And for lovers of natural waters, the boat is also equipped with a swimming ladder.
